Welcome
to a therapy space that honors both your mind and your body.
Hi, I’m Jessica
I really appreciate you stopping by here. There are a lot of therapy styles out there and even more therapists. Those things combined can make the process of finding a therapist who feels like a good fit seem hard on the good days and near impossible on the not-so-good ones.
This world is often not an easy one. It might feel like anxiety or thought spirals have taken control. That the struggle to drum up energy to leave your bed feels too daunting. Or maybe you hear your body communicating in ways that sound a little too loud (tension, nausea, GI issues, panic attacks, and more).
You might find yourself in a relationship that feels comfortable and at the same time you struggle with the freedom to be you. Scars of previous life experiences might make it harder to trust others or you might find yourself bending over backwards to please everyone. It could also be that you know you want to make a transition and you’re not sure how.
Do you find yourself asking questions like “what is my purpose”, “why am I here”, or are caught in a struggle to find fulfillment despite having a list of things you “should be grateful for”? Or maybe you label yourself abnormal, feel like an other, or realize that the “normal” world doesn’t meet you in all the ways that you could help you thrive?
Do you struggle with believing you deserve the support of therapy? You do deserve support.
I’d love the opportunity to connect and chat with you to see if I might be a good fit to offer the therapy support you deserve.
My approach
I am a trauma-informed, integrative, holistic psychotherapist and private yoga teacher supporting clients in-person in Atlanta, GA and via tele-health throughout Georgia. I enjoy working with clients that are 18 years old and up.
The therapeutic approaches I use allow for expression of mind and body. There is time to share your thoughts, beliefs, and stories as well as time to hear and support the body’s story. For example, the body story may look like postural changes or repetitive movements, feel like physical symptoms (tension, increased heart rate, or holding of breath for example), or create patterns in relationships (freezing up in similar situations or maybe a desire to run out of the room).
We will collaborate to create a treatment path that focuses on the things you want to achieve in therapy, a living document that evolves as your therapy journey progresses, which creates the foundation for therapy tailored to meet your needs.
Providing you with a supportive space to be you
All of your appointments will take place in a soothing office environment with complimentary tea and water, sensory support, and individualized care.
In-person and tele-health options
I work at Inner Balance Counseling in the heart of Poncey-Highlands. Can’t make it into the office for a session? No worries – we can meet virtually.
